Acer is giving its Aspire TimelineX notebooks a makeover.
The company announced today it has refreshed its line of svelte notebooks with three new models that feature Sandy Bridge processors.
The 3830T sports a 13.3-inch screen, is 4.12 pounds but just 0.87 inches at its thinnest point, according to ZDNet . It features a dual-core Core i5 processor and discrete graphics courtesy of am Nvidia GeForce GT 540M. With 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive but no optical drive, the 3830T will sell for $779.99.
The 14-inch 4830T also comes with a dual-core Core i5 processor but substitutes Intel's HD 3000 integrated graphics for the Nvidia. With the addition of a DVD drive and a hard drive bump to 640GB, the 4830T weighs in at 4.88 pounds and costs $699.99.
The cheapest of the new laptops at $599.99 is 15.6-inch 5830T, which features the less-powerful Core i3 processor and weighs 5.6 pounds.
Notebooks with integrated graphics should get up to nine hours of battery life, while those with discrete graphics will get up to eight hours. All three laptops include Dolby Home Theater v4 Audio and connectivity via HDMI output and a USB 3.0 port.
