Yanko Design specializes in the art of the conceptual tease, so I'll just tell you right off the bat that the headphones (sourced from Yanko) you see here aren't available for purchase...yet. Britt Ashcraft of Ashcraft Design brings the concept of ecologically responsible gadgets to our attention with the Ashcraft Aria headphones.
Crafted with the audiophile (or The Audiophiliac) in mind, the Arias are to be built with all recyclable materials' the headband is made from wood recycled from guitars (although we have to wonder who's just trashing all these guitars), reclaimed aluminum gives way to dual satin-spun earcups, and the lining is all donated from salvaged clothing.
Since they're still in the concept stage, we can only hope that someone will check out Ashcraft Design and make its dream a reality.
In the meantime, check out the Thinksound TS01 10mm headphones for earbuds designed with the smallest eco-footprint possible.
