LAS VEGAS--If you want your kids to get a leg up on their future digital careers, consider starting them young. Very young. The Vinci is a touch-screen tablet for babies and infants up to age 3 that helps tots learn about the world and stimulates their curiosity through interactive content.

Introduced at CES and launching in the first half of 2011, the Vinci has a BPA-free silicone handle that fits little hands, a 7-inch screen, a micro SD card slot and USB connectivity, built-in speaker and microphone, as well as a 3-megapixel camera. In order to protect wee ones from radiation, there's no Wi-Fi.

The tab is being touted as an active learning platform to develop cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Bundled applications include 3D-animated environments such as a nursery, a farm, and a zoo, as well as a cartoon tot called Baby HaHa. Kids can touch various features in the environment to access experiences like a room with musical instruments.

The software includes a Baby HaHa Music Video with classical selections like Mozart and Schumann, as well as animated stories such as "The Ugly Duckling."

Produced by Hong Kong-based Rullingnet, Vinci was invented by Dan D. Yang, a mother and telecom entrepreneur who says it's the only product of its kind in the world.

The tot tab will be priced at $479 and will sell online and across the U.S. at Barnes & Noble and Skymall outlets.
