Before the Electronic Entertainment Expo officially starts Wednesday, the three big console makers will hold their own highly produced press conferences to launch new titles, features, and service.
Microsoft gets things rolling at 9:30 a.m. PT Monday with a briefing it's dubbing "The Future of Gaming and Entertainment." CNET will be on the scene in Los Angeles to bring you the news live, as it happens.

The entertainment piece of Microsoft's presentation may well be the part to watch. On Tuesday, Microsoft's chief spokesman, Frank X. Shaw, blogged about the importance of entertainment to the Xbox business. He cited partnerships with ESPN, Netflix, and Hulu. And he talked about the console's role as a "gateway" to music and movies, in addition to gaming.
With that sort of lead-up to the big event, it seems likely Microsoft will roll out new services that go well beyond Xbox's gaming roots. Some reports have suggested that the company will preview a premium subscription television service.
Of course, there will be plenty of new gaming titles Microsoft will show as well. It's E3 after all. The software giant knows its audience.
Oh, and we'll also have a feed to Gamespot's live video coverage of the show.
