Hewlett-Packard has purchased Printelligent, a Salt Lake City-based provider of managed print services, for an undisclosed amount. HP announced Tuesday that it had acquired all Printelligent's assets, which includes the whole of its corporate infrastructure.

For the last 23 years, Printelligent has offered services in the form of experts to oversee the operation of SMB printing environments. Combined with HP's channel partners, existing customer relationships, and current leadership in the print management space, HP hopes that Printelligent's existing assets will strengthen its LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions unit under HP's Imaging and Printing Group.

The acquisition is expected to close in the fiscal third quarter, according to the company.
