Last month, we briefly covered the T-Mobile/LG G-Slate at CES. While information was trickling in then, it seems the flood gates of info will soon be opened for all to willingly dive into.

On Wednesday, T-Mobile and LG released new information on its G-Slate tablet. As previously revealed the G-Slate will run on Google's "optimized for tablets" OS, Honeycomb, aka Android 3.0. As exciting as Honeycomb is, it won't be exclusive to the G-Slate and the device will need more than a new UI to get us excited.

The G-Slate will also feature a rear-facing 3D stereoscopic camera-array, which looks to be made up of two cameras, operating in tandem to produce the 3D effect. This will allow users to record 1080p 3D videos and view 3D content on the device or an external display. Unfortunately, viewing 3D on the G-Slate will require glasses (booo!)' the red and blue variety (double booo!).

Both cameras are used in tandem to produce the 3D effect.

In addition, the G-Slate will feature a five megapixel camera with LED flash, plus a front-facing two megapixel camera.

LG and T-Mobile expect a release this spring, so look for more coverage in the coming weeks.
